Skatepark Grand Opening August 26th-28th

Posted by Ariel Ries on

Join us for a three day celebration for the grand opening of Fargo Skateboarding’s INDOOR Skatepark! There will be skateboarding for everyone from beginners to experts, live music Friday and Saturday night, and a skateboard competition on Sunday with total prizes in excess of $5,000! The competition will be judged by professional skateboarders.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Friday at noon. Come and see the newly remodeled Fargo Theatre that was built in 1929 and restored to be Fargo Skateboarding’s indoor training facility.  There will be free skating on Friday afternoon, and a premiere of our first full length video featuring the Fargo team at 8:00pm. Live music and free skating will follow the video premiere until midnight. This is an all ages event that will be entertaining for music-goers, spectators, and skaters alike!

Free lessons for beginners will be provided from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday. Come and watch people practice for Sunday's competition from 1:00pm-7:00pm, and then stay for another night of live music from 7:00pm to midnight.

Deluxe Distribution out of San Francisco, CA  will be hosting the competition on Sunday. There will be thousands of dollars worth of prizes including cash prizes totalling $1,000 for 1st through 3rd place for the advanced competitors.
